Ms Stephanie Putt is Ōtaki College's Careers Advisor. She is available to help students with:
  • Subject choices
  • Career pathway planning and goal setting
  • CV Preparation
  • Access to external short term courses e.g.
    • STAR courses at Polytech and Private Training Establishments
    • Army Experience in Waiouru
    • 'Ranger for a Day' Experience 
  • Information concerning the Gateway Program
  • Advice and support for students as they transition to the workplace and further study, during the school year
  • Information and material on:
    • Tertiary courses at Universities and Polytechnics
    • Armed Services and Police
    • Career Information and resources are displayed in the college library.
Appointments can be made by students at the student Centre or directly with Mrs Putt in classroom C1 or in the library.

Monday 8 May - Dunedin Tertiary Open Days (Otago University and Otago Polytechnic) - Dunedin.
Tuesday 9 May - during lunchtime - Victoria University liaison visit
Tuesday 9 May - 6pm - Victoria University Info Evening - Kelburn Campus, Wellington.
Friday 19 May - University of Waikato Open Day
Tuesday 30 May - 6pm - University of Canterbury Info Evening - Westpac Stadium - Wellington
Thursday 8 June - during lunchtime - Massey University liaison visit
July (date to be confirmed) - AUT liaison visit.

Term 3: Open Days
Thursday 13 July (during holidays) - University of Canterbury Open Day
Wednesday 2 August - Massey (PN) Open Day
Friday 1 September - All Wellington Tertiary providers Open Day (including Victoria and Massey Universities)
Saturday 2 September - Auckland University and AUT Open Days

As usual we will be taking a school groups to both the Massey (PN) and Wellington Tertiary Open Days. If you wish to go to any of the other Open Days, then you will have to make your own arrangements to go there.
