Friday night's performances were a hit - the audience loved every minute.  The talent of the Performing Arts students was showcased in three thoroughly enjoyable productions - first there was a hilarious short play from the year 10 drama class followed by the Year 11 drama students performing a NZ play, ‘String of Dreams’, written by Denise Walsh and directed by teacher Anna Groves. The final play was "Mirror Mirrorl", written by one of Ōtaki College's year 13 students, Mariarangi Carkeek, performed by the year 12/13 drama students, and directed by local theatre expert, James Manser. Comments from the audience were wholeheartedly enthusiastic:

Well done Anna, it was great, the amount of lines those kids remembered was impressive. You have done a fabulous job of growing confident young minds” – Deb Hadlum (teacher)

It was awesome. Absolutely loved it!!!” – Megan (parent)

A fantastic show. Liz and I were spell bound. So great to see the confidence and self-esteem in these students as a result of drama and dance. Well done to all students and staff who contributed. Great to see an International student taking part - Milan. He was wicked!!” Howard Manins (Head of International Dept)

The outcome was a brilliant show that was enjoyed by all. I have been getting great feedback from people that attended.” - Andy Fraser (Principal)
