Huge congratulations go to Ōtaki College student, Parekawa Finlay, who joined Ari Leason from Te-Kura-a-Iwi o Whakatupuranga Rua Mano at the SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare National festival in Wellington last weekend.

Pare and Ari qualified for Nationals by placing first in the regional completion earlier in the year with their intensely moving 15 minute bilingual scene from Othello, using a mixture of spoken and sung te reo Māori and English.  They again wowed the audience and the judges with their brilliant performance, taking out two National awards - Most Imaginative and Innovative Production and Most Thought-Provoking Performance.
