Nicola Adlam retires at the end of this week after nearly 30 years as School Secretary. A school assembly with invited guests was held for Nicola on Monday 29th June, where the Heads of School presented her with a bouquet and a plaque commemorating her 30 years of service. The school sang a waiata and Nicola was crowned with camellia flowers.

Principal, Andy Fraser, spoke about Mrs Adlam’s service to the school, as Secretary and as School Nurse, and how her kind words and friendly smile had warmed the hearts of so many students over the years. Nicola then spoke about the changes she had seen in her time at the College, particularly the changes in technology that had occurred since the days of golfball typewriters and gestetner copiers! She said that she had known many students’ parents when they were students themselves.

There will be a lunch and presentations for Nicola on Friday. The College heartily thanks Nicola for a job superbly done, and wishes her a long and happy retirement. She will be very much missed.  See photos of the assembly.
