On Tuesday 10th May, Ōtaki College hosted Whanganui City College in a Sports Exchange.  This was a student-led initiative co-ordinated by Ashleigh Stevenson and Krunal Modi, with able assistance from fellow heads of school and sports council members.

After our Powhiri, 150 students and staff enjoyed a glorious autumn day playing Netball, Basketball, Football, Rugby, Volleyball and Futsal.

Hard gameplay and great sportsmanship were displayed by both schools, with some closely contested games. In the end Ōtaki College was victorious, winning 6 of the 7 games played.

The Exchange concluded with a prizegiving and shared kai.  It was a day that was greatly enjoyed by students from both Colleges.  New friends were made and plans are underway for a summer sports exchange.
