Mrs Stephanie Putt is Ōtaki College's Careers Advisor. She is available to help students with:

• Subject choices

• Career pathway planning and goal setting

• CV Preparation

• Access to external short term courses e.g.

  • STAR courses at Polytech and Private Training Establishments

  • Army Experience in Waiouru

• Information concerning the Gateway Program

• Advice and support for students as they transition to the workplace and further study, during the school year

• Information and material on:

  • Tertiary courses at Universities and Polytechnics

  • Armed Services and Police

  • Career Information and resources are displayed in the Careers Room.

Appointments can be made by students at the student Centre or directly with Mrs Putt in the Careers Room.

Each year we take school groups to both the Massey (PN) and Wellington Tertiary Open Days. If you wish to go to any of the other Open Days, then you will have to make your own arrangements to go there.

The College holds a biennial Careers Expo and annual Meet the Employer evenings. The latter are run in conjunction with Work Ready Kāpiti.
