2018: Paeone Thatcher

On 5 January I flew down to Scotland where I had such an experience! The culture, the people and the scenery all made my trip so memorable and the students and teachers of Robert Gordon’s College all made me feel so welcome. My host family were very hospitable and lovely and my host sister and the head girl of the college, Kirsty, made adapting to their way of life so much easier. My favourite part of the trip was probably just networking with all the different people on my rabbies tour and at the school. Travelling alone also taught me independence, a skill that comes in handy when you are on the brink of going to university. I seriously enjoyed my time in Scotland and I’m very thankful that I was given this amazing opportunity!
