Patrick Robinson:

77th Otaki Scholar

Patrick's Biography,

from Robert Gordon's College

Patrick joined the College in 2010 after living in Texas. He took an interest in science from a young age and recently completed school to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh after studying Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Advanced Level. Patrick’s musical instrument of choice is the Oboe, playing in several school concerts as a member of the Senior Concert Band. Patrick and fellow members travelled to Northern Italy for their most recent music tour playing in a selection of local towns. He is also a keen debater, becoming student leader of the school’s Model UN club for his final year. Patrick had also been very involved with the College’s Student Council, becoming co-leader for the last few years. For sport, Patrick played a mixture of Badminton and Squash at the College, both within school time and extra-curricular. Outside school Patrick enjoys running and cycling in and around Aberdeen.

Patrick was honoured to be selected as School Captain for the 2019-20 session and was looking forward to travelling to New Zealand to represent the college. He is very impressed by the way New Zealand has managed to eliminate the virus, as many people are in Scotland, and hopes the UK can do the same. While travel remains so restricted he wishes the best for everyone, and looks forward to travelling to Otaki one day.
